Crystal Roberson (Director of theatre department)
This is Mrs. Roberson's 9th year at Mater Dei. Since 2010, she has directed Fools, Footloose, Dracula, Willy Wonka, The Odd Couple: Female Version, The Music Man, Class Action, Shrek, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Oklahoma!, 12 Angry Jurors, Back to the 80s, Pride and Prejudice, Into the Woods, Emergency Room, How to Succeed in Business, The Odd Couple (both versions). Additionally, she has produced four One Act Festivals and a Film Festival. Before working at Mater Dei, Mrs. Roberson taught and directed in Memphis, TN and Elizabethton, TN. She helped launch a Community Arts Center in East Tennessee, where she both taught drama classes and directed shows. She served a year as Artist in Residence at Milligan College after receiving her BA in Fine Arts: Theatre and English and her Masters of Education. She is currently pursing her Leadership in Principalship endorsement from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is married to her best friend Andrew, and she has four amazing children, Finley, LibbyKate, Beckett, and Cadwyn.
